SUNY Broome Community College

The Parlor City Geo team is a group of 5 highly motivated students from two SUNY campuses in Broome County. As Broome County residents, we understand the importance of a sense of place to a community, as well as the history and utility of the area. For that reason we have selected a center of learning and innovation, SUNY Broome, to be the site in which we will develop and propose a district geothermal system. This recommendation will attempt to achieve the following goals:

1. Devise strategies to reduce the energy burden on public universities within NY State.

2. Reduce carbon emissions by implementing a unique district heating model.
3. Prove the economic feasibility of district heating systems.

We are a New York based student group researching and studying applications of geothermal energy. Get in touch with us to find out more!
